Moon Jae is a communist who wants to be known for uniting the Koreas not under democracy but communism.

They said the same thing about AMLO in Mexico and he seems to be more useful than his predecessors.

Communism/democracy/religion, in the end none of that matters and what rules is money. That’s why CCP could grow but now many countries are moving away from doing business with the CCP as it’s not worth the hassle. America is entering a new age of greatness this decade, you love to see it

I don’t think he is a communist, but he, like pretty much everyone else in the world, is really sick and tired of this conflict in the Koreas.

This crap should have ended decades ago.

Personally I think it would be better if both sides abandoned ideas of reunification because in order for that to happen peacefully either the Kim Dynasty has to step down from power voluntarily (and even if they did, China would invade and set up a puppet regime [China would do anything to keep the Koreas from reunifying under a Pro-Western Government]) or the South Koreans would have to consent to being ruled by a totalitarian family dictatorship.

there’s also the thing where the kim dynasty let their half of korea stagnate into a shit hole.

why would SK or the west want to take on the burden of cleaning that up?

Because they see the northerners as their countrymen. It’s the same reason why West Germany annexed East Germany
