Select Fire rifles are not that much of a force multiplier versus semi auto rifles. TBH I would consider a decent optic to be a much bigger force multiplier for an AR/ AK than full auto capability. Especially on the scale of only tens of thousands of rifles. That's a drop in the bucket compared to the number of MSRs in circulation. Now if we were talking of tens of thousands of say PKMs (or any GPMG), then that would be a whole different story. I do wonder why they would need to get rifles from china, or even full auto FCGs.

Crap I forgot about selectfire handguns. Don't those have a rate of fire as high as an MG42? And are hard to hit with. I'd rather take a cheap SMG from ww2 (STEN, M3, PPSH) over one of those if I expected anybody to shoot back at me. Maybe they don't think people will shoot back? Or maybe they just don't think (like at all)?
