My mom stayed home and cooked and cleaned, raised a kid. She also was a nurse, a pretty good one by all reports, and a fairly decent amateur mechanic (her dad ran a filling station/mechanics garage; she had to help after school). This was back in the "days of oppression". No woman in my family had time to play bridge regularly though: when you don't have a lot of money, you go to work -- even if it's on the family farm (my grandmother and great-grandmother used to break horses for people; they were very good at it and brought in some income). I think you have to look at things in a temporal context too though. The industrial revolution was amazingly timely for the US which has a lot of resources and a lot of room for growth. Then Europe destroyed its manufacturing capacity in two huge wars (the scope of which I think many Americans don't really properly comprehend) which gave the US a huge boost. Then third world countries started getting their acts together and cheap labor in a global market has had a big effect.
Don't get me wrong, women being pushed into the workforce has had a large effect too but it's not the only moving part.
$100K isn't much in many parts of the country. Many companies also have a cost of living adjustment so that they'll pay you more in more expensive areas and less in cheaper areas. So even if you move somewhere less expensive, they'll make sure to adjust your salary to reflect that.
The median income here in San Antonio is 50k, maybe around 60k. I technically live outside the city limits, so things are cheaper here.
Anyone making 100k and over in my area is living very comfortable.
My mortgage payment is only $1000. You could easily find a nice house around here for 200k with payments as low as 8-900 a month plus property tax.
My house was 250k when I purchased and since I'm a disabled vet, I don't pay property tax.
So it really depends on where you look. Major cities suck, like Austin and Houston. But outside of Houston, you can find a pretty good deal on a nice home. Same with Austin, if you don't mind the commute into work.
But since this COVID thing happened, I've been remote so it's been wonderful not having to drive into the city.

I think most people can understand that. However, there are things about women that make those things come at a steep cost. First, women have a much narrower window of fertility than men do. Second, women have a much narrower window of attractiveness than men do.
When a career woman decides she's ready to settle down and start a family, she looks around and discovers that all the men she is attracted to (men who have achieved her level of career success and still have hair) would rather be fucking perky 20-year-olds, and want nothing do do with her saggy old lady tits. Then if she does swallow her pride and settle for a guy in her league (balding, maybe still lives with his parents), she will find it very difficult to bring a pregnancy to term, and her chances of successfully reproducing diminishes with every miscarriage.

I'm not telling you or any woman not to go for a career. What I'm saying is that the independence and recognition come at a cost, and that women who manage to "have it all" are vanishingly rare. The only women I know who even came close, married and had children young and then started their careers. Every woman I know who put off marriage and children is alone and barren.

I’m not sure where people get this idea that moms at home chill. Life with small children is a constant balance between life and death, being a poop doula , diet preferences that rival a SJW vegan to name a few. You mainly run on coffee fumes and no real sleep, and forget how to even speak adult.

My number one bit of humble advice for having children would be to study the works of Weston A Price.If you want to produce a bunch of strong healthy smart kids you would do well to study the role of healthy fats that women need . The low fat diet has hurt women the most in terms of fertility and good health. Free time used to be nonexistent, but with a 14 year old daughter to help that is changed. If I get a minute I m out with the horses. I do a lot of cooking. Cleaning is a must so I might as well make an art out of it. I garden and sew too . Sometimes I run the road with my husband too.

I know what the specific problems with current treatment are -- the intentional ignoring of kratom and DXM's (and other NMDA antagonists) effects on opioid tolerance and addiction, the problem of suboxone creating an illegal black market and the certification including fraudulent information to doctors (cannot be injected because of naloxone is a lie -- the naloxone has lower binding affinity than bupe does no matter how you administrate. injecting enables the user to use less drugs and sell more) combined with the limited patient seats available for treatment together create ideal conditions for a black market in an almost intentional way (allow GMs to prescribe, force reckett and benickiser to tell the truth about their drug even though they lied to get FDA approval so doctors admit the truth and look for abuse and injection sites and count strips like pill counts)

Any time i find someone serious about getting off -- I help them and they get off for real. no maintenance. sometimes it takes a year or two. two seems about the average time ive seen so far among people truly ready to jump, to totally jump off the program and go 100% clean. towards the end NMDA antagonist use starts (DXM is a usable over the counter thing, just dont get high on it all the time -- when your about to end use, use a single dose same as pain drs reccomend to lower tolerance buildup, then when you true quit, twice a week use higher doses as a suffering holiday and suffer the rest of the week. dont work while doing this and find a way to take a 1-2 month vacation)
now this could be improved upon by actually developing specific drugs which target the things that make it effective, a synthetic or derivative of kratom, and other potential methods the scientific community could have more knowledge of than me.

I use opiods as infrequently as possible but in emergency situations they are required and frequently in high doses. For long term maintenance its usually out of my hands but our pain specialists work more with alternative practitioners than with the big pharma solutions. Ill even preferentially use ketamine over narcs. Medicinal cannabis in my state as well tho not as easy to get as in other states. Good job on what you're doing man. Big epidemic and it needs to be attacked from all angles.

The premeditated withdrawal of suboxone is actually caused by the bupe itself -- its so powerful in binding affinity it'll knock just about anything else out of those receptors including naloxone/narcan, thus achieving a similar effect on its own.

the doctors involved in drug treatment have to somehow be made aware it is in fact happening and they need to watch for it (more than just $$$) as well as potential changes to the certification/prescription system to allow a wider group of people to have access.
that would remove the black market. once that happened youd suspiciously see many people totally stop going to the sub dr and others would mysteriously drop their dose by several boxes a month. even for a lot of people who do use it, it becomes a way of life and second job to just use medicaid to get more drugs than they need and sell them. ive even seen people take a single hydro before an appointment who never use opiates to get those limited seats just to get the script and sell it on the streets. you cant tell me this doesnt divert treatment from those who need it and cause various other problems.
as stated I believe there are other alternative methods of treatment (unofficial) that do have some medical research behind why they work -- and they could be improved on if people smarter than I would look more into the actions that make them work so well.
In the past, getting out of rehab i even tried to get my own doctor and was told by all that there was a 2-5 year waiting list. but drug dealers could get in fine and easily wait out that period since they had no addiction.
also the doctors never taper people like they're supposed to -- they keep them as lifers, and only kick people out if they piss positive for other drugs which doesnt happen very often. so those seats stay filled with mostly dealers and the entire thing is corrupt as hell. esp since medicaid covers the drug but the doctors refuse to take insurance and only do cash only for hundreds of dollars a visit.

Young women get indoctrinated to feminism in high school and college - "girl power" as they're told. Then they get to the real world and start to realize that the real world is harsh and brutal which ultimately leads them back to conservative ideals with strong gender roles. My wife and I were finally blessed that she can stay at home with the kids during their final years in the house. We have five kids (3 in HS) and we both worked full time on differing shifts for nearly a decade and a half (I work office hours she worked second shift) so we could not pay daycare. We moved to the same shift two years ago when my oldest could watch them. Then this year I became the General Manager of Independents Fiber Network...so I now make enough to where she can stay at home. We worked hard for it...and I can speak for her she is SIGNIFICANTLY HAPPIER TO BE AT HOME. For some women it might not be their thing, for her she wouldn't want it any other way

People in the past tended to be more content with what they had. But most people in America now are born into a life of relative ease. Things like microwaves, washers/dryers, and other goods are all things we take for granted today, but led to huge quality life improvements in the past.
Now that we have so much convenience, we're left wanting those luxuries that are out of reach and are thus left feeling dissatisfied with the progress we've made or our current standing in life.
Feminism is a by-product of that, at best. Bored women want more out of life, think having a career will give them that sense of fulfillment, but it generally doesn't because most careers today are shit.
The only reason women are happier to be stay at home moms is because their husbands are providing them those luxuries that we all crave. The roles could just as easily be reversed (as they are in my household). It has little to do with women enjoying being homemakers and men enjoying slaving away at an office job, but more to do with the end result of those things today vs in the past.
The big problem is feminists pushed heavily for more benefits but at the same time they didn't realize that men would push back against it in certain ways. For example, women heavily pushed for more protections/rights in terms of divorce and family court issues. Now the end result is men are much more cautious about getting married. Most men now are not inclined to getting married like they were in the past where every man expected to get married at some point in their life.
Women have gained in terms of family court issues but they've lost benefits in other areas. Men in general are now much more picky about who they marry. If the female doesn't have a lot to offer then the men are inclined to just date her for a few years and move on. So now you have an ever growing population of single women and these women are very unhappy to be single and not married because they've lost all benefits that come with marriage.
Which is why they keep having to extend marriage. "Common Law" is becoming a much more prevalent way to pull things like alimony, especially in countries like Canada. It's not as prevalent here but as the marriage rates continue to drop like a rock the window to get "cash and prizes" from men is going to ever increase to make sure women keep getting what they demand at the expense of men.

My mom stayed home and cooked and cleaned, raised a kid. She also was a nurse, a pretty good one by all reports, and a fairly decent amateur mechanic (her dad ran a filling station/mechanics garage; she had to help after school). This was back in the "days of oppression". Nobody told her she couldn't do any of those things; some even asked her to help them with a sick family member or to look at their car...because she'd proven she was good at those things (they just never asked her to make any birthday cakes...Mom was a terrible pastry chef; main course? great...no desserts).
No woman in my family had time to play bridge regularly though: when you don't have a lot of money, you go to work -- even if it's on the family farm (my grandmother and great-grandmother used to break horses for people; they were very good at it and brought in some income). All the government can do is to put CEOs, managers, and board directors in prison for at least 10 years for hiring foreigners instead Americans. The government also can abolish H1Bs. I think you have to look at things in a temporal context too though. The industrial revolution was amazingly timely for the US which has a lot of resources and a lot of room for growth. Then Europe destroyed its manufacturing capacity in two huge wars (the scope of which I think many Americans don't really properly comprehend) which gave the US a huge boost. Then third world countries started getting their acts together and cheap labor in a global market has had a big effect.
Don't get me wrong, women being pushed into the workforce has had a large effect too but it's not the only moving part.
$100K isn't much in many parts of the country. Many companies also have a cost of living adjustment so that they'll pay you more in more expensive areas and less in cheaper areas. So even if you move somewhere less expensive, they'll make sure to adjust your salary to reflect that.
The median income here in San Antonio is 50k, maybe around 60k. I technically live outside the city limits, so things are cheaper here.

My mortgage payment is only $1000. You could easily find a nice house around here for 200k with payments as low as 8-900 a month plus property tax.
My house was 250k when I purchased and since I'm a disabled vet, I don't pay property tax.
So it really depends on where you look. Major cities suck, like Austin and Houston. But outside of Houston, you can find a pretty good deal on a nice home. Same with Austin, if you don't mind the commute into work.
But since this COVID thing happened, I've been remote so it's been wonderful not having to drive into the city.

I think most people can understand that. However, there are things about women that make those things come at a steep cost. First, women have a much narrower window of fertility than men do. Second, women have a much narrower window of attractiveness than men do.
When a career woman decides she's ready to settle down and start a family, she looks around and discovers that all the men she is attracted to (men who have achieved her level of career success and still have hair) would rather be fucking perky 20-year-olds, and want nothing do do with her saggy old lady tits. Then if she does swallow her pride and settle for a guy in her league (balding, maybe still lives with his parents), she will find it very difficult to bring a pregnancy to term, and her chances of successfully reproducing diminishes with every miscarriage.
The take-home message is that men advance their careers to make themselves attractive to young women. On the other hand, men don't give a shit that you got that promotion to the head of HR if you're in your forties and reek of cat piss.
I'm not telling you or any woman not to go for a career. What I'm saying is that the independence and recognition come at a cost, and that women who manage to "have it all" are vanishingly rare. The only women I know who even came close, married and had children young and then started their careers. Every woman I know who put off marriage and children is alone and barren.
If women are being recognized for the own achievements, why do they get prizes just for attending? Why do entire movements exist (and fund raise) just to praise women and demand more of them in fields they have little interest in?

Any time i find someone serious about getting off -- I help them and they get off for real. no maintenance. sometimes it takes a year or two. two seems about the average time ive seen so far among people truly ready to jump, to totally jump off the program and go 100% clean. towards the end NMDA antagonist use starts (DXM is a usable over the counter thing, just dont get high on it all the time -- when your about to end use, use a single dose same as pain drs reccomend to lower tolerance buildup, then when you true quit, twice a week use higher doses as a suffering holiday and suffer the rest of the week. dont work while doing this and find a way to take a 1-2 month vacation)

For long term maintenance its usually out of my hands but our pain specialists work more with alternative practitioners than with the big pharma solutions. In the past, getting out of rehab i even tried to get my own doctor and was told by all that there was a 2-5 year waiting list. but drug dealers could get in fine and easily wait out that period since they had no addiction.
also the doctors never taper people like they're supposed to -- they keep them as lifers, and only kick people out if they piss positive for other drugs which doesnt happen very often. so those seats stay filled with mostly dealers and the entire thing is corrupt as hell. esp since medicaid covers the drug but the doctors refuse to take insurance and only do cash only for hundreds of dollars a visit.

Young women get indoctrinated to feminism in high school and college - "girl power" as they're told. Then they get to the real world and start to realize that the real world is harsh and brutal which ultimately leads them back to conservative ideals with strong gender roles. My wife and I were finally blessed that she can stay at home with the kids during their final years in the house. We have five kids (3 in HS) and we both worked full time on differing shifts for nearly a decade and a half (I work office hours she worked second shift) so we could not pay daycare. We moved to the same shift two years ago when my oldest could watch them. Then this year I became the General Manager of Independents Fiber Network...so I now make enough to where she can stay at home. We worked hard for it...and I can speak for her she is SIGNIFICANTLY HAPPIER TO BE AT HOME. For some women it might not be their thing, for her she wouldn't want it any other way

I love being at home as well. I do work from home (we have a family business) but my hours are completely flexible. I am here with my kids to make sure they're doing homework. I know where they are and who their friends are. I make dinner for my family. I love it and will miss it SO much when they are adults. I don't even want to think about it!

I believe this is due to expectations not meeting reality. Our goals are loftier and further away from our current situation than ever before.
People in the past tended to be more content with what they had. But most people in America now are born into a life of relative ease. Things like microwaves, washers/dryers, and other goods are all things we take for granted today, but led to huge quality life improvements in the past.
Now that we have so much convenience, we're left wanting those luxuries that are out of reach and are thus left feeling dissatisfied with the progress we've made or our current standing in life.
Feminism is a by-product of that, at best. Bored women want more out of life, think having a career will give them that sense of fulfillment, but it generally doesn't because most careers today are shit.
The only reason women are happier to be stay at home moms is because their husbands are providing them those luxuries that we all crave. The roles could just as easily be reversed (as they are in my household). It has little to do with women enjoying being homemakers and men enjoying slaving away at an office job, but more to do with the end result of those things today vs in the past.
The big problem is feminists pushed heavily for more benefits but at the same time they didn't realize that men would push back against it in certain ways. For example, women heavily pushed for more protections/rights in terms of divorce and family court issues. Now the end result is men are much more cautious about getting married. Most men now are not inclined to getting married like they were in the past where every man expected to get married at some point in their life.
Women have gained in terms of family court issues but they've lost benefits in other areas. Men in general are now much more picky about who they marry. If the female doesn't have a lot to offer then the men are inclined to just date her for a few years and move on. So now you have an ever growing population of single women and these women are very unhappy to be single and not married because they've lost all benefits that come with marriage.
Which is why they keep having to extend marriage. "Common Law" is becoming a much more prevalent way to pull things like alimony, especially in countries like Canada. It's not as prevalent here but as the marriage rates continue to drop like a rock the window to get "cash and prizes" from men is going to ever increase to make sure women keep getting what they demand at the expense of men.
