This hasn't been a big problem in Florida. Just one incident that I recall in Orlando on a toll road. But, this is smart. This is pre-emptively saying, "We're not going to put up with the shit you've done in other states." If some protesters want to test it, they'll regret it.
You should read the tears and moaning on my counties Reddit sub. "Violates my first amendments", etc, etc, etc. Pointing out the the governor encourages peaceful protesting goes right through their airheads. And they all say that peaceful protesting doesn't work.
