I'd use; large tarp, print and cut out 2 lane wide stencil. If it needs to be supported, use small PVC piping, 3D printed joints and cord. Wait till least noticable, stretch tarp, people roll out a word each, Boom, everyone goes home.

I was thinking rosin paper roll template, shiping tape the edges to keep them sharp, the letters look to be about 3 feet tall. Very possible for a DIY.

See, the key may be to yes, tape over the road. Close one lane, paint till quick dry, close others with cones. Finish one lane at a time with no tread Marks, in under 1 hr.

At low traffic with a professional looking crew early in the morning this is very doable.

Now I need to start working on my stenciling.

I was wondering about a line of spray paints with solenoid operated nozzles. A little bit of control logic and you can print your message just like an inkjet printer.
