She is the daughter of Cuban refugees from Cuba who escaped Castro’s communist regime in the 60s as part of the second wave of Cuban refugees to America. At 52 years old she could get 30 years on the bench, not quite as young as Barrett but only by a few years. She can still be in the seat longer than Rapin’ Bill Clinton’s nominee Ginsburg. She helped stop the Democrat effort to allow felons to vote in Florida, then she upheld it once she was put on the appeals court despite Democrats demanding she recuse herself. In 2000 she was part of the team that represented Elian Gonzalez’s American family. You know that it would really burn Crooked’s ass for this woman to replace Ginsburg.

UH 30,000 felons will vote thanks to her ruling and Bloomberg.

Why did I hear the leftist cucks on NPR whining about it last night and how thanks to her there’s a de facto “poll tax” on Florida felons?

Don't know, don't listen N.P.R.Her ruling was felons could vote if they paid fines and restitution.By the way check out her hubby(Paul C. Huck Jr.)and his ties to fundraising for John Edwards in 2008.

I'll take that over ACB who said she'll recuse herself from anything the Pope has weighed in on. Talk about giving the Pope an unheard of power over the highest court in our land.

I've heard that rumor but i haven't been able to find anything about it,so if you have a link it would be appreciated. That said I trust President Trump to get the best available.

Well some felons maybe.Just depends on what their crimes were.Myself I don't want people convicted of violent crimes to have access to firearms.

Yep. Whoever he picks, I'm ok with. He's got us.

I REALLY hope he picks Lagoa over Barret.

Either is a huge upgrade from RBG.

Thats not saying much. The road kill on the side of the road in front of my work is a huge upgrade from RBG.

I have many Cuban friends. They're more based than most native-born conservative Americans. They've seen what socialism and communism does and they'll have none of it.

They're so concerned about parenting that often it is their tradition to not allow their daughters to go on dates with boys that they do not know well without a chaperone from their immediate family.

They hate commies even more than we do

I do, better than the black kid collecting papist.

Those are fashion accessories bigot.

Cuban is probably much better.

Lagoa needs to be the pick. First, it helps him in the election. Courts are important but we all know that we need a second term to really undo so much shit. True or not, ACB is really associated with abortion issues and that is NOT the discussion we need to be having now. This would keep many female voters at home. Trump won because he put social issues on the sidelines and focused on the economy and foreign policy. Social issues are emotional, the playground of the dems. Trump wins by tying the dems with socialism and unrest and NO ONE knows the dangers of these better than the FL Cubans. An added bonus is that this conveniently makes her a Latina, hitting the Dems with their own weapon.

Also, I'm in Chicago and I really did not like the Obama Center or lockdown ruling. I get that she's a textualist but still so shitty.

Totally agree, and it's seems strategically obvious she's the better choice over ACB, but alas I think we will be disappointed. As usual...

If she is in total agreement with the words "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" and believes that ALL gun control laws are unconstitutional, then she has my blessing. But I have no idea where she stands on 2A. Anybody know?

Please Trump, don’t pick Amy Cohen Barrett.

Caferrell 5 points ago +5 / -0

I would like to vote 100 times for this woman. Cubans have lived under totalitarianism. She isn't going to go squishy on us

Bridgit bade would be a good pick too. I still prefer the based Indian, tharpur put sounds like we are going with sexism.

I'm good with whoever Trump thinks is best person for the job. He's the one who gets to take the credit or take the blame for future SCOTUS decisions for whoever he selects.

Why her over Rushing or Todd?

4
WitnessMe 4 points ago +5 / -1

Because the right is just as bad as the left when it comes to identity politics. Its not about the best or most qualified.

3
Ih8leftists 3 points ago +3 / -0

Count me out, I would rather have either of the two I mentioned.

Better than Barrett, but again, she's a devout Catholic who takes this Pope very seriously. Do we need 7/9 Catholics in the Court? Think hard about it.

2
HRoark 2 points ago +2 / -0

I was raised catholic and I do have an issue with this. Especially ACB seemingly super devout. This is a concern esp with our SJW pope who hates trump

1
MythArcana 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah, Pope Frankenstein is indeed incredibly liberal, and I would love for him to point out in the Bible where his half-cocked and crazy ideas are coming from. Every time he opens his mouth, I try to figure out what Scripture he had in mind, because it just simply doesn't exist!

2
aveydey [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I think almost all of President Trumps options on his list are Catholics. Whoever assembled the list for him has a hard on for Catholic judges.
