Potentially?

He was feeling particularly benevolent a month before the election in a state that he doesnt live in.

16
BigIronBigIron 16 points ago +16 / -0

Benevolent toward Florida criminals, and as we all know, there's nobody New York billionaire Mike Bloomberg feels more kinship with than Florida Man

If mini Mike gets perp walked over this I would die of laughter like the weasels in who framed roger rabbit....

19
DonutDog 19 points ago +19 / -0

The sad thing is, Mike could pay off the Florida AG with enough money to change his life forever and it would hardly be a drop in the bucket for Mike. Then the investigation would mysteriously get dropped, citing "no evidence of bribery found."

Not a he, a she by the name of Ashley Moody. AG Moody is a MAGA Republican who knows taking down Bloomberg would be a huge, career defining moment. The kind of thing that makes prosecutors really famous. As Gaetz said after he spoke to her tonight, AG Moody is "all over this" and he believes she has already started a CRIMINAL investigation. Mini-Mike is fucked.

Call me cynical, but I'll believe it when I see it

JackLemon 5 points ago +5 / -0

Well I can't disagree given how DC crooks have gotten away with so much. The big difference in this case is it's in a red state with a MAGA governor and AG. The NYC and DC crooks can't save him as easily as if he had committed the crimes in their jurisdictions.

BigIronBigIron 5 points ago +5 / -0

I bet she knows playing ball with someone whose personal wealth is 4x the GDP of Tallahassee would be an even better career defining moment

She can’t be bought, bullied or negotiated with. Some people just want to see the world better.

1
BigIronBigIron 1 point ago +1 / -0

You clearly haven't been disappointed by politicians enough yet.

I was riffing on a quote from the Dark Knight. I don't know enough about her to know what to expect. I was just saying there are still good people in the world. Don't give up hope yet.

She should also go after the donors. They knew what they were donating towards.

It would be glorious. Despite his somewhat pretty boy persona, Gaetz is proving to be a fierce fighter. No soy there.

I hope when he goes to prison they make his short ass sleep on the top bunk

They probably could imprison Mini Mike in one of those dog carriers they put on airplanes.

Add LeCuck and his Company as well. They are actively searching for ways to bail out felons so they can vote.

noooooooooooo, he has other motives man I can just tell. Sometimes I want to root for him, but I saw his special on HBO, Swamp something. Maybe "The Swamp." I knew it was too good to be true but watched it anyway, he's a snake

7
Jeb4HOABoard 7 points ago +7 / -0

So, you trust HBO?

2
BarronTheb1o1a1t 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's why I said it was too good to be true. A real documentary about "the swamp" on HBO, then like 30 minutes into it I was like "yeah this is exactly what I thought it would be". Watching Gaetz put make up on was also weird as fuck. The dude creeps me out now. My point was that he actually did that and attacked Trump on HBO shows that he is a snake.

TL/DR: I watched Matt Gaetz sell out on HBO and betray GEOTUS and his country for his own popularity, you cannot trust this snake

2
Jeb4HOABoard 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ahhh. I get it now. Thanks for clarifying.

4
JackLemon 4 points ago +4 / -0

Are you kidding? The "Swamp" is a DemonRat hit piece produced by Pedowood and the leftist channel HBO. You'd have to be totally clueless to believe a word of their propaganda.

2
BarronTheb1o1a1t 2 points ago +2 / -0

yeah it was total propaganda, I knew it would be, and it was. But that like 1% chance that someone at HBO woke up and was fighting back pulled me in. They got me to watch ¯_(ツ)_/¯

-2
TheBusiness -2 points ago +1 / -3

Interesting I will have to look into that.

4
Teddy_Schmoozevelt 4 points ago +8 / -4

"Calls on" and then rushes to Fox News to brag about it.

I'm so fucking tired of these showboat Republicans.

Gaetz is the new Gowdy...all talk and no action.

5
JackLemon 5 points ago +5 / -0

Except he is close friends with fellow MAGA patriot and current Florida governor Ron DeSantis. As Gaetz said tonight on Hannity, he spoke to AG Moody just before he went on the show that she is "all over this" and he believes a criminal investigation has already begun. We will see.

2

Calling on the AG. The election is 40 days away. Also, where were these guys on us being banned from every platform and the algorithms themselves being in kind contributions to democrats. Shut big tech down for what they've done.

2

Matt ?

You here dude?

You've gotta be.

2
half-blacktrump 2 points ago +2 / -0

You know he only went to felons that were registered Dems before hand.

2
JackLemon 2 points ago +2 / -0

It worked! Gaetz broke the news tonight on Hannity that Florida AG Ashley Moody was "all over this" and he believes a criminal investigation has already begun. The corrupt globalist mini-Mike Bloomberg is in huge trouble. https://thedonald.win/p/HXohinRL/breaking-mini-mike-bloomberg-is-/c/

The sad thing is, I'm struggling to see the clear law Bloomberg has broken.

If he's paid off these fines, he's effectively paying that person. You can't pay people to register to vote (s. 104-102), incidentally, and I'm guessing those felons aren't registered. If Bloomberg's volunteers have encouraged these felons to register in the same breath they have been promising to pay off their fines, then the offence is made out, more or less, but that would be stupid of them.

It gets harder in the case there's coordination between this subversive activity and the Democratic campaign (say, rootless cosmopolitans pay the fine and alert Dem volunteers to encourage the felon to register)- the statute requires that the payment is made for registering, and that sort of two-steps-removed link is hard to prove.

104-061 concerns direct bribery and corruption, and maybe there's a case under section 2:

No person shall directly or indirectly give or promise anything of value to another intending thereby to buy that person’s or another’s vote or to corruptly influence that person or another in casting his or her vote.

Trouble with that is there's probably no case law concerning this new legislation- the campaign is paying people money (that much is not disputable) to become eligible to vote, but presumably not to register, and definitely not to cast their vote a specific way. Is that a 'corrupt influence in casting his or her vote'? It might be- to cast a vote, you have to firstly be eligible to vote, then to register, then to actually fill in the ballot. Payment at any stage of that needs scrutiny, and paid registration is already illegal, likely with at least dicta in the case law giving justification for convictions.

This close to an election, an out-and-out partisan campaign is paying people in connection with their electoral activity. It certainly has every appearance of corrupt influence, and I'd hope the courts view it that way, but it's not a slam dunk.

1

This happened in florida.

Bloomberg is fucked

1
AZTrump2020 1 point ago +1 / -0

This is straight out of LBJ’s playbook on voter fraud. Back in the day, LBJ’s associates would bring in busloads of Mexicans from across the border and pay their poll tax so they could vote. They would do the same for migrant workers. And they’d give them sample ballots so they knew exactly who to vote for. Sometimes even corrupt precinct bosses would stand over their shoulders to make sure they voted for LBJ.

1
Ctv1125 1 point ago +1 / -0

My opinion is, If you can walk the streets as a legal adult, you should be able to vote. Its not easy to discuss whether pending fines or criminal history reflect on if people change for the better, sometimes. My point is that I don't want upstanding citizens hampered by their financial situations based on their past time in prison and ability to pay sometimes arbitrary debts to the state.

That being said, you have to have your head in the sand to not believe Bloomberg isn't attempting to buy votes. He would have kept his anonymity, if he didn't want the people he's "helping" know that a prominent Democrat paid their debts. Also, why not help the felons in Tennessee pay their fines off? Is it because they don't live in a swing state?
