My company went so far as to ask us to make a pledge to help minorities. The pledge had to be in writing, something specific, with a date, and we had to name an accountabilibuddy to hold us to it. Everyone I work with said fuck that we’re not doing it.

Nah. To be fair, most of what corporate does has no real effect on me. They sign my checks and that's about all the interaction I have with them. I do like reading the latest "Inclusion and diversity woketacular" emails from the boardroom though.
