I'm speaking with my dad and trying to tell him how I knew Romney would do the right thing when it comes for the vote to seat the new Justice.
The reason I was confident is because I read several bright and well written comments here and while I thought I'd saved them, I cannot find these comments again now.
Please, any of you pedes with enlightenment that impresses me to no end, will you please hook me up with the details of what I'm trying to relay to my dad?
I realize Mittens has too much to lose by not voting with us but I can't explain why.
Thank you for any help, friends.
PS: I'm not trying to convince my dad of anything. He's a Vietnam Vet and we've voted conservative my entire life. I was born in 1970, a year after my dad returned from Vietnam.

Long time Utah resident here. My opinions (worth every cent you paid for them!) Romney is a narcissistic snake, not to be trusted.

He only said that he agreed that the vote should take place, not that he would vote for the nominee.

Mitt does not control his future. In Utah, the leaders of the LDS (Mormon) church control politics. Mitt serves at their pleasure.

I did comment earlier the the LDS church is against abortion, so that may be leading Mitt to vote for the nominee. But the LDS church leadership talks the talk, but is mostly driven by power and money, which comes from illegal immigration, so who knows...
