I find that a lot more stuff is politicized than should be, such as hair and basic human rights.

Individualism. If you have blue hair because you love having blue hair, that's pretty awesome to me. If you have blue hair because you're stepping in line and joining the crowd or the group, then it's better to try to figure out what you love, then do that instead. At least, that's my take on it.
