Coming from Chicago, IL & moving to FL, the difference was absolutely INSANE. The amount of money I saved on food & regular day to day shit, let alone income & property tax, was mind blowing. Groceries tax went from 12.5% (even higher now) to 2.5%. Property tax for a $450,000 home goes from something like $15,000 (just outside Crook County, and easily $20,000 inside) to $3,500 or less. Skipping state income tax was the best ducking feeling. Easily saved me a good 10% of my income & expenses, if not more! But that's Crook County, IL for ya.

The heat got me back in June, I was working on some equipment on a rooftop in downtown Orlando and the sun was coming at me from all sides because the roof was bright white and the building next to me was a god damned 20 story mirror. I nearly threw up driving home and passed out for a few hours as soon as I walked in the house.
Only the toughest can survive florida! And that’s absolutely brutal. I was trying to help fix this lady’s car that broke down at our office (her radiator fan picked up a plastic bag and I was just pulling it out for her but it came out in shreds because fuck Walmart) and between the heat radiating from her engine (yes it was off lol but still hot) and the sun, I am at a complete disbelief you survived on a fucking white roof next to a mirror for longer than 10 seconds.
