I think He put Trump in to give us a chance to make an informed choice about who we are gonna follow. Why is the left hardly even trying to conceal their wickedness and their wicked plans anymore? If we as a nation, choose (either by action or apathy) to reject God, then He's going to respect our decision and allow us to go to Hell in a handbasket. And we won't be able to claim ignorance of where that path leads to, either.
