Just hung up with my mother who lives in East Tennessee in the rural hills. A family Homestead was just bought sight unseen from a family in California. At 1st I thought this was good but then my gut told me what the hell is going on. Conservative migratory pattern or something maybe more sinister?

Can confirm. Census worker in NE Tenn. Met several newcomers from cali, only one was openly left leaning.
