Live on the west coast and there's tons of gorgeous liberal girls, which I think speaks more to the proverb about beauty only being skin deep. Once you get to know someone, if they're an ugly person inside, that's all you're going to see no matter how beautiful they are, and the same can easily be said in the reverse about unattractive people with great personalities. What matters the most is personal character and how you treat others, and people will naturally want to be with you.
