Just needed to vent a little here. We’re at an incredible new stage in society. I never thought I’d be ridiculed for wanting to keep and defend my constitutional rights. Even “friends” online mock me for my stances on things relating to the Covid shutdown, saying things like “bUt mUh RiGhTs” — what the hell is wrong with people? Where are we as a society now, that we make fun of people for wanting to maintain their rights? It’s sad to see people so eager to drink the koolaid and immediately toss away what the constitution allows them at the request of the government.

Well put. Yeah there’s some contributing factors that are more obvious but at its core I share your confusion. Part of me wonders if a lot of it is due to a weird collective societal psychic breakdown because of the never ending lockdowns, us essentially being subjected to tyrannical rule, and the news blasting people out of their minds with covid fear. But yeah, right on. A very scary and anxiety producing time. I don’t know that I’ll ever look at people the same again. The masks are off (so to speak). Daily life has been very unpleasant for a long time. For whatever it’s worth, I definitely share your confusion and frustration.
