Lagoa has:

• been a judge for longer
• had less pro-govt/corp rulings
• has not ruled in favor of lockdowns or cited a forced vaccination case as justification for lockdowns
• is also Catholic, but has not said she must recuse due to religion
• has less of an elite background
• has family experience with communism
• comes from an important electoral state
• was confirmed with more votes in favor (aka easier for RINOs to vote yes)
• did NOT approve of Roe, but stated that lower courts do have to follow the supreme court rulings (unlike Flynn's lawyer, for example)
