My MIL lives in the white suburbs, her entire circle is full of virtue signaling white mom's who now love black people but have never interacted with them. I'm colored and grew up in the projects, everytime I try to explain who the people they're advocating really are they blow it off.
This might be evil, but I try to push woke people to take action on their beliefs. If they think people in the projects are underprivileged and need more help, encourage them to volunteer and work at soup kitchens or something.
I used to say the best thing we ever could have done is require High School Seniors across America to go to Ethiopia, Haiti, Liberia, etc and volunteer for 3 months. Then come back and write up reports about what they saw and how it changed their ideas on life.

My friend actually did that. He volunteered and went to Liberia, I believe it was. He came back totally changed and very much against hand-outs and foreign aid. Went from a bleeding heart liberal to a conservative overnight, because he saw that the foreign aid was breeding dependency and not self-sufficiency (not to mention other economic effects like destroying local farmers and businesses).
