I mean, its technically not an apples to apples comparison. Streaming video view counts are the total number of people to have viewed. The 3.7 million viewers watching the NBA playoffs on TNT is the average total viewers per minute. Meaning, if the game lasted for let's say 120 minutes, there were 3.7 million people watching in any given minute of the playoff game. If you were to look at the total number of people that viewed the playoff game throughout its total duration I'm guessing the total views would be significantly higher. TV viewership is calculated at the average minute level. It is not total people to watch.
