Youre going a bit overboard on the boyfriend assuming they didnt present themself accurately. If they did, then the BF is bad guy. But if you had people knocking then quickly busting down your door and you are a gun owner, its possible youd fire at cops in civilian clothing also. (again if this is true) Ive heard its not but no definitive proof that it isnt, just he said she said about various police reports from them, neighbors and cops. Dont pretend like if someone is in your home you wont shoot at them

They had a no knock and CHOSE TO KNOCK AND IDENTIFY AS POLICE.
He chose to SHOOT and use his jigaboo accomplice as a meatshield. Probably due to her silverback build.
