I just got my concealed carry and during the process they mention that you are responsible for the entire trajectory of that bullet. If indeed a police bullet went into a neighboring apartment then I do feel like it is fair to say that someone completely innocent could have been hurt which is why the charge is wanton endangerment.
The cop was well within their right to defend themselves but even a citizen defending themselves would be charged for stray bullets putting other lives in danger. Because no harm has been done to another party I personally would be ok with fining the officer the class A misdemeanor fine of $500

actually, any of us would be charged for that so im good with the police getting hit with the same treatment
