Easy.. each Uhaul has a unique vehicle number on the back top right, on the driver side top right, and passenger side top left. Believe one on the front of the cargo as well. This looks to be a DC.. or 15” truck. The serial for this vehicle will have 4 unique numbers after DC, and another letter on the end signifies something important about the make and model of the vehicle. Any Uhaul employee can search this product number in Uhaul’s database to show who rented the vehicle, when it was rented and for how long the rental is. There home address or address where the vehicle can be found if delinquent. This is a good start.

Maybe a federal agency should be created that could investigate who is purchasing pallets of bricks, large quantities of gas cans, powerful lasers etc. I'm sure it would be rather easy to track these instigators and their backers down.

And the fact that 99% of these LARPers carry around a $0.99 box of bandaids and claim to be "street medics" is all for PR once the tear gas comes out.
Also the lasers. Those can blind you, but the police for some reason put up with it.
Their tactics come right up to the line where police will respond with lethal force. Because the police have been letting them get away with it, it's now accepted that protesters/rioters can do it.
Don't forget the press markings. A lot of the rioters have fake press markings. Anyone with a cell phone or camera can pretend to be press. There's also no rule saying that you can't be press and also be violent.
I fear that they're going to cross that line soon. It's a crowd of 1000, and 5 people have a gun and start sniping at police. What are the police going to do?
