Alternatively you can set it up to where archive.is is a bookmark on your web browser and when you click the bookmark it will automatically archive the page you were on before clicking it. It's fucking brilliant!

You can also just type archive.is/ in front of the url in your browser, it will take you to the latest archived page if one exists, and give you a button to archive if not.

So in the case above, if the tweet is gone, just add archive.is/ at the beginning of the URL to see it.

That said, keep in mind that the archive.is guy is a liberal nutter. He's already cancelled Brave browser users, because their micropayments are "racist" (Brave doesn't allow the micropayment feature in countries that commit the most fraud using it.) Maybe he's just assmad that Brave redirects 404s to archive.org instead of archive.is.

You might want to make sure you back them up to multiple archive sites, like http://archive.org/web/web.php as well. Not as easy as archive.is, but the redundancy might be needed one day soon.

I pressumed liberal nutter based on the “.is” part of the URL. Thanks for confirming.

If a site refuses to be archived properly, you can first save it on freezepage.com or archive.org, then archive that link on archive.is. Helps get around most bullshit.

Do not trust the Internet Archive (archive.org) on its own as they take down archives if requested.

Don't forget that archive.is lets you get around paywalls on certain news sites as well.
