I refused a flu shot at the VA Hospital earlier today. The woman looked at me like I was insane and she said "why in the world would you want to get the flu?". I said I no longer believe in vaccines because of Bill Gates and the democrats. She said that she hopes I'll have a heart to heart with my primary care doctor about this kind of mindset.

I can easily recover from a simple illness because I eat right and supplement. I highly doubt I haven't been exposed to the flu since H1N1 but I don't think I've ever actually had the flu since. The ways that a vaccine gives you immunity are almost the same. A vaccine typically (not this one) involves injecting you with dead virus that poses no risk of infection, and then your immune system consumes the foreign matter, produces antibodies, and those antibodies grant immunity. Getting the disease naturally does the same thing, but you get the disease first and have to fight it off. The disease gets to eat you for the entire time between when it first infects you and when you find the right antibody, making you sick.

I'm not antivax, I'm anti this vax. I don't see why I should spend any effort, time, or money for something that's not 100% effective and not protecting me from anything serious.

They don't link to anything, they just state it as fact. I'd feel more confidant about this if there were some sources linked in at least one of the articles I checked out when searching for this, but there aren't any, and all of the articles are from end of times christian sects that say the same thing without a single reference (even to each other).
