Priorities:

  1. National Security. So no China.
  2. USA manufacturing jobs to all who want them.
  3. Thats it. If #1 and #2 are fulfilled, I'll take a $300 imported TV over a $3,000 domestic. It's American to save money too.

An American TV wouldn't cost 10 times as much as a Mexican built one and it's evident from the prices of cars that are made with high American content versus those with less or none from countries like China or Mexico. The labor is just a small component of the car's cost.

When an American TV becomes available with 100% American parts, you may change your mind. Labor costs exist at all levels of raw material extraction, parts creation, and assembly. When labor is cheap, or is slave labor, then you see the huge price differences.
