So the thing is, unless you know them, search their names and subscribe to their channels, youtube will never recommend them to you on their front page. If you search for some latest news topics, it is guaranteed that fake news will pop up first and you'll never find any of their videos.

That's already the business mode for a lot of news outlets. It just gets inconvenient to follow multiple of them.
What they lose from demonetizing conservatives is pocket change in the grand scheme of things. Politics is like 2% of youtube content and conservatives are a third of that at most. Given they dont demonetize all conservatives, they lose even less.
And lets not forget their ad revenue goes way beyond youtube
