I don't think Mitt will flip flop. Supreme Court is much bigger than some bad blood between politicians.

You're right, because so far 2/3 of the projected Supreme Court nominees are closely related to Romney in some way or another....

So really it can very well be "good blood" between Romney and the Supreme Court pick.

A lot of Rhinos were happy about Bolton being chosen for Trump's cabinet... and at the time, a lot of Pedes were too... just saying

It’s not as much about Trump as it is about the Turtle. The Turtle will not let this opportunity pass without the slam dunk.

Its not about bad blood between politicians, it's about appointing a Judge that does not play on his team (democrats) so he will probably vote no

My sister, upper middle class Mormon from Utah, says Romney knows if he screws up this time, he had better pack up and move out of Utah, where a gun is an expected accessory. People are sick of his shit (she donated $5000 to his campaign in 2016)!

In 2016, it made sense.

He was still the former Republican front runner who lost to Obama and a decent, God fearing, family man concerned about Trump and the future of the GOP.

4 years later, he's proven to be the two-faced traitor he always was.

I don't think Utah will be very happy with its senator if he votes against a pro-life Supreme Court nominee.

Murkowski and Collins voting against a women nominee I think is less likely than them voting Yes or Present. Both of them complained about the timing of the confirmation but that isn't the same as voting No.

The entire GOP is still pissed about how they treated Kavanaugh, the Dems aren't going to get better results when they try it again a second time.

Still have the silver haired tie breaker. No worries.

I am very sure there is a pay-off. Maybe Trump can give Romney a cushy ambassador post and we get that seat back.

Everyone up for reelection has to put Trump's pick in or the voters will know they are traitors. The vote is so close to the election there will still be fresh anger tainting voters minds.

I'm with you. They are snakes.

I wouldn't fully trust them, but it's possible that they're now realizing that they have elections coming; either this year or in two years. And they've already done a lot to anger their voters. Blocking a conservative SC justice would ensure that they never get elected again.

They got paid to, some way or another. It's always a horse trade
