It is the most clear-cut self-defense case I've ever seen. Any government that would punish him for that self-defense is unjust, cares not for the safety of it's citizens, and needs to be replaced.

I envision a battalion of militia storming the streets, demanding Kyle's release and charges dropped, then escorting him to safety without firing a shot... Reality tells me not to put too much hope in that outcome, unfortunately... But much like a potential home invader... It's us or them.
