You can, but if the judge finds out you will be tossed for an alternate.

It's usually the attorneys that will disqualify you rather than the judge.

At least that was my experience when serving jury duty and couldn't afford to miss work.

At the beginning all jurors swear to uphold the law as it is written. If you reveal that you are not going to do this then you are kicked out or a mistrial is called.
