If you read the transcripts from the jail calls prior to her death, she was obviously holding and possibly laundering drug money, she was also the go between from those same jailed individuals and their contacts on the outside, often thru Facebook.
What really got her drawn into the investigation was letting her semi-boyfriend use her car to do drug related drop offs. The license plate was traced back to her address. This is the dude who had all the heat on him. He stayed at her place occasionally and also used her address for his residence in 2015-16ish. That’s where the warrant for her address comes from.
Where everything went wrong was when the man she had staying over (a different guy) starts shooting at the cops when they execute the warrant. He ducks out of the way after shooting, she’s standing in the hall and gets hit multiple times (which if you’ve ever played sports with girls, you know in general they’re not as quick on their feet as guys). Tragic ending, but ultimately the guy who started the shooting is most to blame imo, but she also put herself in a situation living with, doing business with, and being around the wrong crowd for an extended period of time.
Moral of the story... Pick and choose your friends wisely.
