And many people did not vote for him last time because they didn't think he had a chance in CA. Those people will vote for him this time around. Trump is going to win CA this year.

I was at a Trump boat parade here in San Diego a few weeks ago, and overheard a couple of ladies talking about how they didn't bother voting in 2016 (this being California and all), but after all the talk of how Clinton won the popular vote, they're absolutely going to be sure to vote, to increase Trump's popular vote count in 2020.

2
socal_maga 2 points ago +2 / -0

THIS! I keep hearing this over and over and over even from folks who I could have sworn were on the left just a couple of years ago. California may not be lost.

A lot more would vote if they thought they had a chance at beating the dems. I vote anyway. It wasn't that long ago we recalled a democrat governor and put in a republican. People here are pissed at the democrats right now. People losing their businesses like crazy due to "the hair" in Sacramento.

2
Block_Helen 2 points ago +2 / -0

I think 2020 will bring out a lot of formerly disengaged voters that were mildly open to Trump in 2016 but didn't bother voting because they didn't think he had a chance thanks to the Preferred [But Wrong] Media Narrative.

Now they have about eleventy gorillion new reasons to vote for him AND they know for a fact he can win, because he already did.

4

That's not the way it works. People don't just abandon their state and upend their lives so they can vote in another state. The Republicans in California love their state and would like to see it become great again and rid of degeneracy. The only way to make that happen is by living there.

Yeah you keep telling yourself that, while your census numbers and electoral votes go to whoever the dem candidate is. California is lost, can't be won from within, it can only be won from without.

If every conservative in leftist controlled states moved to free states the country would be saved.

In another 20 years, when Commiefornia has only gotten worse, maybe you'll accept the truth.

16
Got_Hot_Snakes 16 points ago +19 / -3

That’s a quitter and loser mentality, very sad.

“Well it’s lost and only gonna get worse, just accept it and move on (meanwhile I’m gonna ignore all the fraud and illegal voting), yep Commiefornia sure is toast”

If we all had that mentality, we would have Clinton as president right now.

You're right. I've lived here for 40 years. My parents lived here since the 1940's. My grandparents since 1910 or so. My grandfather built a lot here. Hospitals, the beautiful Library at USC, and Without question the most amazing Greek Orthodox Church west of the mississippi, if not the entire country. stsophia.org He was the architect who designed it. It's real hard to just walk away from all that.

4
Salacious_B_Trump 4 points ago +9 / -5

If you say so. Just know that there is absolutely zero chance California will ever not be liberal from here on out. Zero. None. Nada. California will never be great again.

Florida will decided by a few thousand votes every election for the foreseeable future. Can't win without Florida.

7
Dead_Sennacherib 7 points ago +8 / -1

12
Dead_Sennacherib 12 points ago +12 / -0

I love California and I am a staunch conservative. There are vast areas of this state that are mostly conservative and are incredibly beautiful and open. I'm sorry to see you go, but many of us plan to stand our ground and fight for the place we love. Quit telling us to give up. It's fine if you don't want to fight for California, but we do.

5
AK94 5 points ago +5 / -0

I love the climate, and some of the beaches, and the mountains, and the snow skiing, and the cities. San Francisco is beautiful except for the bits where people shit on the streets. If we could get rid of the leftists here and clean up the messes they've made (relatively small all things considered, except for the illegal immigrant problem, but that too is fixable), then I would love to stay.

But I agree....it's not going to happen. So I'm out... 😟

i could never live in Nevada. WAY too hot. If i leave California it will be to somewhere like Idaho or Montana.

3

1
Hades440 1 point ago +2 / -1

4
Dead_Sennacherib 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yosemite. Lassen. Joshua Tree. Santa Cruz (liberal town, yes - but incredibly beautiful). Giant Sequoias. Sierra Nevada mountains and thousands of miles of open wilderness. Disneyland. So. Cal beaches. Huge areas of every crop known to man - including tomatoes, rice, almonds, peaches, apples, walnuts, dates, garlic - literally everything. This is an amazing place if you get out of the terrible cities.

5
AndrewLB 5 points ago +5 / -0

I live in Orange County, one of the last places in SoCal where you would be a fool to park your car with a Biden sticker on it.

3
Hawkman 3 points ago +3 / -0

We do vote in CA. Big positive I've noticed is basically No Democrat or Biden stickers, flags or signs being displayed. Have only seen 1 Biden flag on a boat and maybe 2 signs around town. Considering this is Ca that is a big deal.

13
POWESHOW 13 points ago +14 / -1

I just drove across country from my home in CA - through Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, South Dakota, etc to my girlfriends house in Michigan.

Swear on everything holy- we saw a total of TWO Biden stickers or flags or endorsements anywhere. It turned into an Easter egg hunt between me and my ultra liberal girlfriend to find anything Biden.

Conversely every house and store we stopped in there was Trump. It was legitimately 700-1 in favor of Trump.

Granted it is Trump country, but still......

I still wouldn't risk dating a liberal these days though. Dating/relationships are just really fucked up these days.

7
Trump45IsGod 7 points ago +7 / -0

Women are the easiest to red pill. girlfriends , sisters , mom's, if you can't red pill these people in your life, you need to improve yourself and your communication skills.

2
burgundycapsule 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is absolutely not true in my experience. Most modern college educated chicks treat the democratic party like their religion. Good luck even getting past the first date if you admit you're voting Trump. It's a complete deal-breaker. You cant rationalize something to an irrational person. I've tried with multiple girls I've dated and it's always backfired. The ROI for the effort is just not worth it.

4

People change. In a true marriage where both partners are committed, they tend to become like each other over time and achieve mutual balance.

9
ma_ga_que 9 points ago +9 / -0

Your love life is your business but since you brought it up, I have to second the other poster above. Opposites attract is cute for dating, it is not cute for stable marriage. You’re going to want a trad, red-pilled wife for the long haul.

With all of that being said, thank you for the insight on the cross country haul. Georgia is the same way from what I’ve seen around town. Not a lot of energy from the Biden Riders.

5

It's because CA has a very large population, and more people voted for Democrats than Republicans.

2
RandomUzer 2 points ago +2 / -0

CA folks are not playing the right game. The dems changed it years ago.

You must go vote in the primary. As there are 2 slots. Top two win. When dems stack those 2 slots and you are out. NY just changed to the same game last year. The primary is very important now and republicans are still playing the old game there. Where as in most states it is kind of a 'meh'. If the republicans played the 'get motivated for the primary' game like the Dems did they would be competitive in both of those states.

1
Afeazo 1 point ago +1 / -0

It’s not that it doesn’t matter, it’s just that certain states everyone knows it’s going either red or blue, so both sides barely turn out. Look at CA, less than 1/3 of the population turned out to vote because everyone knows it’s going blue whether they go out to the polls or sit at home.

1
zooty 1 point ago +1 / -0

This is also why abandoning the electoral college might not have the effect that those advocating it hope it would. Totally different game.

1
Afeazo 1 point ago +1 / -0

Don’t worry, when they lose the popular vote but win the presidency whenever that may be they will be all for the electoral college. They realized packing illegals and committing voter fraud in one state doesn’t matter, CA has 55 electoral votes whether it goes blue by a margin of 100 votes or 30 million votes.

2
Long_time_lurker 2 points ago +2 / -0

Same reason many Republicans in OK or TX don't vote. Same reason many Dems in NYC or L.A. don't vote. They think it doesn't matter.

I remember how that worked out for Hillary supporters...

3
MayfriatusPoinks 3 points ago +3 / -0

It is important to vote, even if you live in a deep blue state. The popular vote matters. It might not change the election outcome, but if the other side wins the popular vote, they will use it as a club against us for another four years.

22
Trump4a3rdTerm 22 points ago +22 / -0

13
JacksonsGhost 13 points ago +13 / -0

In 2016, I saw a scuffle outside the San Jose venue, commies downed some Trump supporters. Suddenly 2 angels, private citizens on motorcycle cruisers, wheeled up, batons at the ready. Agitators scattered like roaches. Trump allies helped to their feet, in awe of their wheeled rescuers.

I empathize with their situation and am glad that I live in America's reddest big city whos city council voted 17 to 2 to increase the funding to our police force. The same city that whos police force put down the attempted riot a few months ago with such overwhelming force that the rioters decided to pack it up and not come back a second day. 6
TheUpsetter 6 points ago +6 / -0

Don’t even get me started on ludicrous anti-2A laws... CA mandates that all new handguns include microstamping, a non-viable and easily thwarted technology. And that just one of dozen of laws that only harm law abiding citizens.

3
RegularAmerican 3 points ago +3 / -0

Don't worry maybe scotus will do its job sometime in the next few decades.

4
WildSauce 4 points ago +4 / -0

Maybe it will sometime in the next year. NYSRPA was granted cert a mere 3 months after Kavanaugh was confirmed. Of course Roberts cucked out in the end, but that is a great indicator that another 2A case should be taken up very quickly after RBG is replaced.

2
RegularAmerican 2 points ago +2 / -0

Some of this may be settled in the 9th circuit court. I have a little hope there.

3
WildSauce 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'm hoping that Duncan v Becarra either gets enbanc denied or it goes our way. Either way I could see the anti-gun side declining to appeal to the SCOTUS after RBG is replaced, which would establish a future circuit split for cases that do seek cert and would allow us to have real magazines in the interim.

no. It would be red if Ronald Reagan didn't fall for the lie that "Hispanics would become natural conservatives" and agree to amnesty which turned California blue.

7
Fabius 7 points ago +8 / -1

It wasn't even that. It was the 7 zillion illegals who live here now and crank out anchor babies.

5

Birthright citizenship is horseshit and needs to be overturned.

LA is only Dem because of Mexican Americans voting Dem. The sticking point is obvious. Of course, there would be reluctance to vote Trump with that group but I've encountered quite a few Mexican Americans who are secret supporters. I've had countless conversations with citizens who have illegal relatives and they know and understand why Americans don't like illegal immigration. Some even express their desire to fix the issue but would feel like they are betraying their relatives that have been living here for decades. I think the tide might be turning but would you willingly vote for something you know could possibly harm your parents or uncle or aunt or grandfather?

5
WildSauce 5 points ago +6 / -1

3rd generation Mexican American here, and 4th time Trump voter, if you count the primaries. My grandpa earned his citizenship by volunteering for the army and fighting from Normandy to the Ardennes. The mexican half of my family is split about 50/50 between successful working professionals and professional welfare queens. Fortunately the welfare leeches don't actually go out and vote.

2
Fabius 2 points ago +3 / -1

Tragedy of the commons.

The more Mexicans who move here, the more America becomes Mexico. CA is already basically Mexico. There are major parts of L.A. that look exactly like Mexico. Nobody speaks English.

I'm here, but other than an American flag and my Trump memorabilia inside my home, I don't advertise my political beliefs either.

4

I had a layover in San Luis Obispo about a year and a half ago. That place is based af. LOTS of MAGA caps and 2A tshirts. I was impressed. And it's beautiful there.

3
sdl5 3 points ago +3 / -0

My baby brother's adult home from the greater SFBA upbringing- lots and lots of ranchers and old school California there, conservative Californios to newer working class.

Trump and libertarian abounds, anti neocons and globalism on all sides pretty much.

Even the Uni can't influence much beyond a laid back vibe and constant youthful population.

20
BasicCable 20 points ago +21 / -1

There are a lot Trump MAGA 2020 flags here in Huntington Beach. Almost all the businesses near my work have flags and stickers on the windows.

14
logan34 14 points ago +15 / -1

Orange County is strongly Trump. I was in downtown Huntington Beach last week and saw a guy with CNN is Fake news shirt walking on the pier. Good chuckle.

Affirming OC's pede status. Seems every weekend I've ran errands, I see at least one MAGA hat/shirt/flag/bumper sticker. By comparison, I saw 1 Biden Harris bumper sticker in a parking lot in the past month or so.

5
shadows_of_the_mind 5 points ago +5 / -0

Didn't the democrats pull some big thiefing fuckery on congressional seats in OC in 2018? Whats up with that? Yall should've been out there protesting. Actual protesting, not like Burn Loot Murder's protesting

I pass 1 Biden sign in my GG neighborhood and chuckle. We've gone from 2 house flags on this street to 8. The other 70% are FOBs and can't vote either way

It's funny though, how 1 side can see the opponent's sign and laugh while the other sends people into such an irrational rage

I’m in Nor Cal in a city that was probably 70% for HRC in 2016... took my kids to the park yesterday and honest to God I must seen 25 Trump yard signs and Flags and one... one single stupid Biden yard sign, the corny one with the aviators. Can you say... LAAAAAAANDSLIIIIIIIIIDE?!

16
DiscerningSword 16 points ago +17 / -1

Those stupid eucalyptuses trees in the background remind me that California is always ready to burn... Cut them all down and plant some useful trees or at least non harmful trees...

17
LostViking1985 17 points ago +17 / -0

Who doesn't like explosive trees in their backyard?

7
TheDonaldParty [S] 7 points ago +7 / -0

They don’t have them growing in their yard. They belong to other houses in the back.

9

lol I'm just very bitter, I love oak trees, but I'll never plant one because they come with a lot of restrictions where I live.

I've seen the most beautiful lots be made worthless because while they sat vacant 1 oak tree turned into 10 and now you can't build on it lol.

14
TheUpsetter 14 points ago +14 / -0

CA was very republican at one time, produced prop 13, Ronald Regan, and republican governors throughout my childhood. Problem is all the migration into LA and San Francisco by the flakiest of people throughout the country has overwhelmed sanity here. Coupled that with a spineless state GOP that’s stuck in the 90’s and we have the commie infestation we’re dealing with now.

14
Trump4a3rdTerm 14 points ago +15 / -1

Damn, lol. Well, that's what you get for living in Commiefornia I guess. Cali is one of the only places it sort of makes sense to have solar panels but that should still only be a personal choice and not a government forced choice.

RegularAmerican 3 points ago +3 / -0

So many of the low income people don't pay full price. If you make less than like 40k a year you pay like 66% of what a regular house would.

1
sdl5 1 point ago +1 / -0

In SFBA spots low income is $104k to qualify for the reduced purchase price on new houses of fair size on small to ok lots.

Needless to say still barely affordable abd absurdly bogged dowh in CA counter useful regs: you have to have sequestered a hefty down for 6 months or longer you can prove origins. On top of that and applying for a pool, even before getting approved and onto a shortlist means you canNOT apply anywhere else for a year- even if you never ever get to the actually offered a unit to buy status.

12
TheDonaldParty [S] 12 points ago +12 / -0

Oh ya extremely common on anything built in the last 10 years. This neighborhood almost every single house has a solar panel system. That particular house has a 10 KW system on it.

8
Peashout 8 points ago +9 / -1

All made in china.

7
ohpleaseuhhelpame 7 points ago +7 / -0

The government is forcing it on new home development here in California..I don't have solar but mostly because on my home where they would have to install them they looked like hell..imo but my uber liberal neighbors have them..lol

5
RegularAmerican 5 points ago +5 / -0

I talked to a guy who installs those. Asked him if he has them in his home he laughed and said hell no. They'll be obsolete in 15 years and you'll have a ruined roof

4
philandy 4 points ago +5 / -1

Could a developer get away with a solar heater?

10
LostViking1985 10 points ago +10 / -0

Yes and yes. CA heavily subsidizes solar panels, lots of tax incentives, etc.

7
w3aregh0sts 7 points ago +7 / -0

I recently saw a "Democrats for Trump" sign on a house in rural CA.

13
MAGAlikethis 13 points ago +13 / -0

I have a 6' flag up as well. I wish HOA would allow Trump signs. Even though the fee is $50 per sign per day, I think I'll go ahead and risk it a few days before the election.

5
RegularAmerican 5 points ago +5 / -0

Hang them from high light posts and street signs. You won't get any fines unless caught

2
CaliPede24601 2 points ago +2 / -0

Can you hang them inside your windows?

2
MAGAlikethis 2 points ago +2 / -0

According to HOA, no. But it's going up eventually one way or the other. I may also just put a sign on my car and park it in the driveway.

Don't be hopeful for California as a whole, but just remember to not write us off. We're Americans, and the conservatives here are at least as conservative as in deep red parts of the country. We're battle hardened and have had to fight to defend our beliefs for our entire lives.

Don't buy in to the "They voted for this, they deserve it." We've been fighting to keep California from becoming an outright Communist state for at least a generation, and we do it because we love our fellow man, this state, and this country.

9
FragoDelight 9 points ago +9 / -0

There’s a lot of MAGA around. Maybe not in LA SF so much...come the Central Valley though and holy crap.

9

6
meals23 6 points ago +6 / -0

calipede here, there's a shitload of trump supporters out here. don't ever forget that, we have the 3rd most votes for trump on election night 2016 and that was with millions of conservatives staying home since they knew it wouldn't change the dems winning every race for the state anyway. for fucks sake, the senate race where Kum-ala Harris won her Senate seat was between two Dems, her and some other clam.

The point is a lot of pedes who have never been to California think the entire state is the Sodom of the Bay Area. There's a lot more to it than that, and we're the front line of the culture war.

Unfortunately it wouldn't matter if 75% of California supported Trump. The level of cheating that will take place in the most corrupt state in America will be so massive it's literally impossible for Trump to win there. California is a lost cause

3

In the Central Valley, go down any rural road and you'll be greeted with Trump signs on just about every other property.

3
kingbird 3 points ago +3 / -0

In 2016 there were 4.5M votes for Trump in California. A lot of conservative feel disenfranchised in CA and do not vote because the CA GOP always manage to endorse Republicans and Rinos (not conservatives or MAGA) who wants to make the rich richer instead of focusing in the small and medium size businesses or focusing on issues more important. I hope this time is different and people get motivated to vote, if only to save our Republic from the Democrats.

3
JayshawnVoorhees 3 points ago +3 / -0

Lifelong East Bay resident here. So far I've seen one Biden sign where I live, and maybe one or two Biden bumper stickers. I don't see Trump signs, flags or bumper stickers, probably because they would invariably be vandalized. Several coworkers are voting Trump. Most friends who still live here are voting Trump. I've helped two more to register republican.

We're here. Even if CA stays blue, I think it's going to be a lot closer than it's been in a long time.

3
MAGAmole 3 points ago +3 / -0

There are sections of CA that are very conservative and you see houses like this a lot. I live in a liberal hotbed and just have an American flag in my window, and I've been warned to be careful about even that.

That's risky. Isn't California the state where a trump supporter got his garage and cars SET ON FIRE because he had a trump flag? This happened like 2 or 3 days ago I believe.

5
Plsdontfireme 5 points ago +5 / -0

That story seemed very fishy, Antifa don't tag "Biden 2020" they tag "Fuck Trump" It's all they know.

Seeing that "Biden 2020" tagging seemed very similar to Trump supporters watching Empire and yelling "MAGA Country!" during a blizzard in Chicago.
