I hear what you're saying and there's a lot of truth to it, but on the other hand, a lot of Jews started fleeing Germany in the early to mid 30s when they saw the writing on the wall. I'm sure many of them were hearing similar things from family and friends about staying and not giving up. I know it's not a perfect comparison, but it's broadly similar in the sense that there is a point where you have to stick a fork in it and enact a tactical retreat or risk losing it all. I don't know if Cali is done or not, but it's definitely at a level where it's hard to blame people for wanting to get out and wash their hands of it.
I absolutely understand why people would leave, you gotta do what’s best for you and your family first. My point is this, the president that we support and vote for wants to make America great again, it’s even his slogan, how can anyone support that goal and at the same time say California will never be great again so might as well give up and go somewhere else. That’s not making America great again, that’s “let’s keep my safe space red state a Republican state and push the Dems out, and fuck those blue states”, that’s not making America great again, giving up on your fellow Americans in blue states is pathetic and cowardly. Make America Great Again won’t be accomplished until all states in this country are great, not just the red states
Totally understand man. I lean towards your point on this. We need to stay and fight as long as we can to fulfill the promise of this movement and save our country. At the same time, I'm keeping a zillow page open for Alaska and South Dakota just in case.
