Maybe it will sometime in the next year. NYSRPA was granted cert a mere 3 months after Kavanaugh was confirmed. Of course Roberts cucked out in the end, but that is a great indicator that another 2A case should be taken up very quickly after RBG is replaced.
I'm hoping that Duncan v Becarra either gets enbanc denied or it goes our way. Either way I could see the anti-gun side declining to appeal to the SCOTUS after RBG is replaced, which would establish a future circuit split for cases that do seek cert and would allow us to have real magazines in the interim.
