Fingerprints? This is 2020, we should be using retinal scans by now. 😀 But seriously, we need much more security in our elections for them to be seen as legitimate.

I always hear the argument that it is a state issue and shouldn't be federal. I call bullshit. Elections are too important to not have strict rules.

I don't think we need a new bureau. Just an amendment. I'm all for eliminating the IRS and the FED. BATFE should be a convenience store.

Right, and on the face of it it sounds good, but the constitution clearly states that the state level election process must be for the people of the various states to decide for themselves what is best for them. Creating a precedent for federal rules to be followed by the states for an electoral process lends the idea that all other state level issues could then be amended to fall under federal purview. And that is a road to a larger federal government, and more tyranny on a federal level.
