Does it work that way? I always assumed it was just prepaid for a standard letter weight. If they charge afterwards based on weight, this could get interesting.

Is it possible they won't mail it if it's over the weight? Maybe the Post Office would make an exception, after all their union endorsed JB didn't they?

That's a good point. I mean I talk with my mail lady and she's a huge Trump supporter so maybe she would refuse it coming from anybody else, but couldn't hurt to try!

Not only possible, but actual.

They throw away obvious attempts to mail junk/heavy items. per the USPS.

If and only if USPS can readily identify it as a prank package.

Otherwise they are legally obligated to ship everything they receive that is properly addressed and posted.

Should be charged by weight. If it's clearly trash, they won't mail it though. If you want to "donate" a used tire for example, be sure to box it up first.

Try lead. High density. Cheap.

Fishing weight. I used to use them for C&G balancing in RC aircraft

Knowing those drama queens they will probably say you mailed them hazardous materials

Better to just cast a bag of concrete into a block, wrap it up and tape the envelope to it.

Depending where you live, you could tape an Antifa brick to it.

Kinda, but not like those that are having wet dreams over it, think.

You cannot send bricks, bolts, lead plates. But you can stuff it with paper, or other junk mail, and they will be charged $4.34 for an overweight letter. You only need a few ounces to trigger that.
