Hundreds of years ago, doctors thought that viral disease was caused by foul odors, so they wore masks filled with flowers. The modern mask hysteria is no different.
Molecular biology tells us to look deeper - to never accept a claim at face value just because it's plausible. Public policy should be made by looking at large amounts of high-quality research studies. I have read every meta-review in the biological literature of cloth masks and noticed a few phrases - "plausible but scientifically uncertain" - "probably better than nothing" - "cloth masks INCREASED the rates of influenza infection vs controls," etc.
In sum, the CDC has abandoned the scientific method. They are extremely selfish bureaucrats and political hacks who have no interest in your health. Fauci recently announced that he takes Vitamin D3 (which reduced the ICU rate of COVID patients in a Spain study by 96%) but he never recommended it to the public. Shameful. He has violated the Hippocratic oath by omission.
I'll list the prophylactic supplements that I provide to my elderly family members below, if anyone is interested.
Social distancing works (though it reduces herd immunity). Vitamin D3 has some very impressive studies supporting its efficacy against severe COVID. Most patients ultimately die from a "cytokine storm" as the immune system overreacts in the respiratory system. Thus, supplements that downregulate inflammation and have anti-viral properties are a plausible therapeutic route. Safe supplements that have these qualities include cannabidiol (CBD), resveratrol, medicinal mushrooms (especially Reishi), and even naproxen sodium (Aleve).

It has seemed suspicious to me that they don't really talk about the virus itself. The entire world's scientific focus is on this thing. Shouldn't we by now have this thing mapped out to it's last protein, wouldn't that info be pertinent and interesting?
Just from my own research because of all this coronachan insanity, I discovered there have been studies out, that concluded that cloth masks should NOT be recommended, for at least five years. When governments started telling people to wear cloth masks, I knew this was not about keeping people safe. But when I suggested that even my family members should read the studies, they refused. One of them is in a medical profession, and they were perfectly content to be lemmings about wearing cloth masks. So frustrating.

Early in Covid, I searched the CDC web site for “Diversity”, “Transgender” and “Climate Change”. Got thousands of hits. All that content didn’t come cheap. That is political content, not part of their stated mission of disease control.
