Just read NPR's story on this and they of course re-iterated that it's "just a small number of ballots." Then they spent 3/4 of the story talking about how improper it was to issue a statement about the ballots and how it could affect the election. That's right, discarded Trump ballots are fine, but reporting it about it could be election interference. These people are fucking insane.
There was an NPR podcast episode several years ago on how walls don't work. Their conclusion? Building defense against immigration and drug trafficking just makes the efforts to get around it more sophisticated so it's not worth trying. I thought "Well if people just find new ways to rob banks does that mean we should just leaves stacks of money laying around on the bank conference room table and call it a day?" It's all mental gymnastics.
