Alabama went one step further after the Doug Jones debacle.

Now they have an electronic system where IDs must be scanned to get a ballot. In the past, in certain precincts, at the end of the day they would mark off names on the list and fill in ballots for people who didnt show up.

Now the number of ballots must equal the number of scanned IDs. Problem completely solved.
