These people know more then we do, because they have access to so much more information. If we know that the landslide is coming they knew it to. So they put up some chump who won’t be around in 2024 to take the beating.
They aren’t trying to win this, just trying not to lose too bad.
Biden is an expendable candidate, he's old and they can write off the loss as a shitty pick and keeps their rising "stars" safe for a 2024 (or later) run. The Justice Dems are attempting to hijack the party and quite honestly, it doesn't hurt the party as much if Biden ends up losing. I think they've known for quite some time their chances of winning were slim and he's their fall guy.
