That's a really good point. It does go both ways to an extent though. Like in another thread when I wrote that I sympathize with Biden for suffering from dementia, and that I'll wish him well once he's lost & is no longer a threat to the country, I got replies about how he "deserves far worse" and another one claiming he's "pure evil". And yes, he's representing a horrible party, and he has horrible ideas & flat out stupid/naive policies, but he obviously doesn't have malicious intent.

It definitely is more common with the left though. You'll never find a video of a patriot hyperventilating & crying because a Biden supporter drove past them.
