The reckless driving seems somewhat justified after normal driving led to him getting cut off by the pickup truck and his car getting attacked.
Any interaction between a citizen and cop carries the implication that a gun is to your head the whole time(unless that cop is disarmed at rhe moment, but even then they just have firearms a phone call away so it doesn't change anything other than response time)
