My kids go to a predominately Hispanic school at the moment. (We're moving soon so I stopped homeschooling them so that the next state doesn't try any fuckery with records). My son was the only white kid in his class. I think there's 1 or 2 in my daughter's class.

The other kids bullied my son relentlessly, and both of my kids get to deal with comments about how white they are. My son won't wear shorts anymore because he's scared people will talk about his white legs. My daughter just laughs off the racism she receives because she's great at ignoring dumbasses.

This is in Texas, btw. Good luck staying red when 70%+ of kids in schools are Hispanic.

Growing up 1/4 Dutch 1/4 Native American and 1/2 Mexican, I found I was to white to hang out with the Mexicans. Also I was to Mexican to hang with the whites. The blacks only stayed with themselves.

I had a few good friends in school, metal heads dont care what you are.

I grew up in a very mixed area. Like 1/3 white, 1/3 hispanic, 1/3 black, and for middle school was sent to the one that's like 1/10th white. It was hell. During middle school, I would have had to become a thug to fit in. I'm envious of the people that had normal schooling around their peers.

If I'm lucky enough to have kids, they're going to a carefully chosen private school, or we're moving someplace that is NOT "diverse".

Why did your family not move to somewhere less diverse?
