In addition to my personal statement here, it's also noteworthy that putting a Gay man on the Republican ballot for President is an automatic loss, as there are many many people out there that will absolutely not vote for a Gay man, even if that means a socialists leftists wins.
I'd never vote for a communists, but if a Gay man is what is on the ballot, then America deserves it's fate. I'd vote all R, but not vote for President, or choose one of the 10 or so candidates on my ballot that aren't commies.
