Liberals seriously hate everything. I used to live in San Francisco and the privileged would just sit around and complain all the time. You give them what they want and they just want more. I used to be conciliatory and non-partisan. I would vote for candidates that would "reach across the aisle". That stopped with Obama because I learned too late.
I once had an idea that every political party's leadership in a country wanted to see their country be great in their own way and had mutual respect for each other. They would spar over differences, negotiate compromises, and occasionally be uncompromising or even have very heated exchanges.
But that sure as hell isn't how things are right now. The Dems and RINOS want to destroy all the values that define this country and make it into a first-world banana republic with themselves at the head.
Lust for power and tribalism are part of the human condition, and I wonder if our political system was ever really like that idea I once held...
I honestly think it's a reflection of their constituents. If their constituents would hold them accountable, they would change. But their constituents have been radicalized by the schools, and the media, and the self-masturbatory echo chambers. So they think they have the ability to do whatever the fuck they want and no one will call them out. All for the sake of winning.
Yes, it was and still is! Don't swallow the black pill just because the wayward and the corrupt are trying to subvert the greatest governmental architecture ever constructed--the US Constitution--to their own greedy and malice-filled ends.
Our system of government works because the Founders anticipated that the American People would be the countervailing force against the mean little minds who'd seek to use the government for their own perverse ends.
They wished for us to be educated and eternally vigilant. We failed in that duty by our complacency. It's time to restore the balance of power; to restore the natural order.

You just made me realize the #1 distinguishing characteristic between liberals and conservatives is GRATITUDE.
The fact that you're capable of learning means that you were NEVER "one of them".
