Oddly enough this is the first presidential election in CA where local poling places stopped existing in favor of centralized poling offices. This had been planned for years. I used to go to meetings and complain about it.
They'll still vote for you in other states with mail in ballots.

and upon closer inspection - the envelopes were stacked neatly together... in very large stacks - there are hundreds of envelopes tightly positioned back to back.... not randomly jungled... like someone just dumped a mail box of mail...

they dont need those ballots, they already have prefilled out ones they need to mail in. After all these people vote in person because they never received their mail in.

You don't need to apply to vote by mail in California. We just get ballots mailed to us automatically. I don't know what election these match up with since I don't know anyone who's received their ballot yet, but that doesn't mean no one has. Maybe left overs from the primary? I'd love to know what the party affiliation says. Yes, you can see D or R from the outside of the envelope.

On magnification - you can see 'hand written return addresses.' Many are stamped - but many are not stamped... ????
