Cops are being played in these cases. Some join to make a difference and help people. Whenever dumb shit gets sent down the line to them to enforce they go through the motions because... you know... they got mouths to feed. You sound like a tough guy, hopefully you never are required to do some pointless and redundant thing in your profession. Blame the leaders in the Department and Police Chiefs. Your average corporal or sergeant is trying to pay bills and thrives off those non political moments where they actually do help people and save lives.
