We got a bouncy castle for the kids and we're hosting a big non-socially-distanced BBQ for all of the Trump supporters in our neighborhood!

I wanna live in your neighborhood. All I got are neighbors that have BLM signs

Nfish20 70 points ago +70 / -0

Same. The one Trump sign/flag I enjoyed seeing on my way to work was sliced to pieces in only 3 days. I ordered him a new one. I just noticed today he put a new Trump flag up hanging high on his house. You can't intimidate this pede. I can't wait for his new flag to come in so I can introduce myself.

Poker 29 points ago +29 / -0

You're a good man. I wish I had neighbors like that, cause it's Biden country out here.

18
Nfish20 18 points ago +18 / -0

Well those are the signs that are out which is quite an easy way to spot brainwashed homeowners. Most houses have nothing or an American flag.

9
jlynbk 9 points ago +9 / -0

There is such a thing as Biden Country? I really didnt think there was. Just “people who are pretending to vote for Obama again country”.

3
Afeazo 3 points ago +3 / -0

Cant really say, I live in an extremely blue area and there are no Biden nor Trump signs.

2
Berzerker_king 2 points ago +2 / -0

my understanding is that there is nothing like "biden country", but trump supporters are afraid to put trump flags and biden's few supporters are extremists and loud. which means that even if 10 out of 100 ppl support biden, there will be 10 flags making it look like biden country whereas the 90 trump supporters will have only 1-2 flag

ScipioAfricanus 4 points ago +4 / -0

Ironically, in Delaware, Biden’s home state, there isn’t a single Biden sign to be found anywhere, even in the biggest city (Wilmington). I’ve only seen one all year in an ultra rich neighborhood. Yet trump signs are every quarter mile along our main highway. Biden losing Delaware would be a fantastic slap in the face, though Delaware hasn’t gone red in about 40 years, this is the year to do it. No one likes Biden here, and it seems like everyone is a secret Trump supporter.

4
ScipioAfricanus 4 points ago +4 / -0

I honestly think Biden seeing Trump’s smiling face every quarter mile for 50 miles as he drives to his beach house is just a masterful psychological warfare campaign by Trump. No wonder he won’t leave his basement.

Definitely. 100%

2
ZerioctheTank 2 points ago +2 / -0

Same here. I ride my bike through the suburbs here and it's BLM & Biden signs. Unfortunately for them I have Ben Shapiro, and Tim Pool blasting on my stereo so they're forced to listen to my right wing "propaganda."

We're going to do things a little differently in my neighborhood. We're going to tie Rosie O'Donnell down and let kids bounce off of her. Then we're going to make some vegetarians sit nearby while we cook BBQ and eat it in front of them. Then for the kids we have a Ruth Bader Ginsburg pinata. Saturday promises to be a fun day.

I grilled out a few weeks ago but it was "scoot the grill into the backyard, cook, and then clean."

Now that the new HOA pool is finished and in walking distance from my house, and that it's not 100 degrees outside anymore, I really should bring some friends over, put out a spread of food, bring out the grill and leave it outside and cook on and off from late morning to early evening. Plenty of leftovers to carry us for the days that follow.

15
Trump-2024 15 points ago +20 / -5

CNN just came out with an article 10 minutes ago saying sources are confirming its Barrett.

Fake news citing anonymous sources, so take it with a mountain of salt.

We're fucked if it's Barrett. The only issue she'll be strong on is abortion, at least until the lizard Pope changes the Church's stance.

17
DoYouBelieveInMAGA 17 points ago +20 / -3

Anonymous sources are good at being wrong. Trump could've been doing that thing where he pushes an incorrect story down through his ranks to flush out a leader. Hope so. Just say no to ACB.

2
featherwinglove 2 points ago +2 / -0

These anonymous sources are actually pretty reliable. Unfortunately, they are also off-topic, lol!

1
RealFletchYoung 1 point ago +2 / -1

Yea if the news is calling it for Barrett and they havnt started the attack yet then you know it’s a ruse. It will be Lagoa

14
AbrahamLincoln 14 points ago +14 / -0

CNN reporting something with no sources makes me think she's not the pick.

3
Hardcouer 3 points ago +3 / -0

They got Gorsuch wrong and Kavanaugh right, so they are at 50/50...may as well flip a coin. It would actually be more informative if they were consistently wrong.

CNN is so good at making themselves look bad that it's a waste of time that could be better spent crapping on the driveways instead.

2
NYforTrump 2 points ago +2 / -0

It wouldn't surprise me if POTUS intentionally mislead the media with these interviews. He loves doing that and making them seem like idiots.

I'm hoping for Lagoa as well but will support any nominee.

2
LibertyForAll 2 points ago +2 / -0

I hope so! Looks bad if he doesn't at least meet with Lagoa.

2
Anubis1 2 points ago +3 / -1

I'm seeing all the vultures saying Barrett now. I really hope it's not true. Trump has to know that Lagoa is the smarter pick, and you risk losing Cuban voters in the most important state for what? A possible suburban white woman vote? Their vote isn't changing, they either hate him because orange man bad or they are smart enough not to care about the skin color of a judge.

0
Trump-2024 0 points ago +1 / -1

I'm hoping his strategy is to bait the media with Barrett so that they have less time to Kavanaugh his real pick. But I'm not very hopeful at this point.

5
IAmTheSenate 5 points ago +5 / -0

I've heard this alot and I'm inclined to believe it, but do we have sources on this? What rulings or statements has she made that make us think so?

11
Block_Helen 11 points ago +13 / -2

No one seems to have much evidence on the "why ACB is bad" assertion. It just gets picked up and repeated.

12
Bbme19 12 points ago +14 / -2

I just pointed out on another thread that ACB used to be loved on thedonald even when we were the_donald, constantly plastering her face up whenever RBG had a health scare and now that Trump might pick her, everyone has changed their mind in support of another lady no one has ever posted about before. It's honestly bizarre.

6
BlowfishandFunk 6 points ago +7 / -1

Basically their argument is “Pope bad, ACB is Catholic, therefore ACB is bad”. The Pope sucks but ACB isn’t attached at the hip to Dope Francis. She’ll be great. NOMINATE! CONFIRM!

1
flashersenpai 1 point ago +2 / -1

No it isn't. Lagoa is catholic too. But she hasn't said anything about judges recusing over religion or being in churches that speak tongues.

0
Spez_BTFO 0 points ago +1 / -1

It's because she has stated previously that in moral/religiously leaning topics she looks to the Pope and goes with the decision that sides with the Pope.

That's not a Catholic thing. That's a her thing. I don't even dislike the Pope, but his opinions are irrelevant to US politics and policies and should never be considered, especially by a supreme court justice.

4
Block_Helen 4 points ago +4 / -0

I don't think anyone really knows anything. There's the lockdown ruling but if that was narrowly decided then a judge's options are limited. It was a unanimous decision on the panel which included another Trump appointee. Then all this "wacky religious stuff" that I swear is coming straight from ActBlue talking points.

1
HRoark 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think people liked the idea of her but being so close to the election makes lagoa far pragmatic and better. Besides, they are all old so if he wins more than likely acb will get on soon.

8
flashersenpai 8 points ago +8 / -0

lockdown order citing precedent that justified the japanese internments, generally favors state and corporations in cases, is not just christian but part of groups that speak tongues which is wacky as fuck for the vast majority of people

2
Hardcouer 2 points ago +2 / -0

Shit she speaks in tongues and lets people know about it, well, that MUST mean she's a pro-trans flaky cuckwife, according to some of the logic here.

1
Block_Helen 1 point ago +1 / -0

Sources?

3
3
Block_Helen 3 points ago +3 / -0

Thanks. I'm looking around for something by a legal expert I already trust.

I feel like this is a psyop. There were so many pro-Barrett articles over the years and now all of a sudden conservatives are sounding the alarm? Makes no sense.

Edit: this is National Review but Ed Whelan is great on SCOTUS. Here he is on Barrett and 2A: https://www.nationalreview.com/bench-memos/judge-barrett-on-the-second-amendment/

2
zigZag590 2 points ago +2 / -0

Watch Viva Freis LIvestreams with Robert Barnes. I trust his judgement and he hates her. As I'm not a legal expert, I'm included to trust Barnes fully. Basically she's going to be another roberts

1
Block_Helen 1 point ago +2 / -1

I like Robert Barnes but I don't think he knows much about constitutional law.

3
zigZag590 3 points ago +3 / -0

IDK ... he seems well versed tbh. It seems ACB is a NEOCON type. Let's hope he is wrong. I hope she will be a good justice.

2
Block_Helen 2 points ago +2 / -0

He is well versed in many things, but I don't recall him having much to say about SCOTUS. Barrett got all the fab reviews when she went to the 7th circuit. Neocon doesn't bother me re: SCOTUS because it's more of a foreign policy thing. I don't think she's going to be a Roberts. He is more of a problem because he's compromised.

Found these links, showing that Barrett supports lockdowns:

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/09/04/illinois-coronavirus-lockdown-court-challenge-408747

"This Executive Order does not limit the free exercise of religion. To pro‐ tect the health and safety of faith leaders, staff, con‐ gregants and visitors, religious organizations and houses of worship are encouraged to consult and follow the recommended practices and guidelines from the Illinois Department of Public Health. As set forth in the IDPH guidelines, the safest practices for religious organizations at this time are to provide services online, in a drive‐in format, or out‐doors (and consistent with social distancing re‐ quirements and guidance regarding wearing face coverings), and to limit indoor services to 10 peo‐ ple. Religious organizations are encouraged to take steps to ensure social distancing, the use of face coverings, and implementation of other public health measures. "

Funtimesahead 1 point ago +1 / -0

Barrett is not a damn snake. This is pure concern troll horseshit. She has a perfectly fine record on immigration, which seems to be what people here are worried about.

I'm sad that this dom as fallen for such BS

16
Cyer6 16 points ago +19 / -3

Everything I've seen about Barrett is looking like she would be a horrible choice. Another deep state, authoritarian judge and I hope those recent rulings upholding lockdowns in Illinois prove it. Lagoa looks solid and the dems wouldn't know how to handle her. I've heard one constitutional lawyer say Lagoa would be the next Clarence Thomas.

18
Libertysheimdall1 18 points ago +20 / -2

I hate to tell you, but Thomas would vote for masks too.

You must understand that the true Constitutionalist judges like Scalia and Thomas HATE making up rights that are not spelled out in the Constitution. That's why they are against Roe v Wade.

At the same time, they also have classically always sided with the government on issues of police powers, like police searches (Scalia brought us the rule that cops can run their dog around your car for drugs without consent), and death penalty etc. That is why they would side with the government on masks. The Constitution does not explicitly say otherwise, so where would they invent the right to go without?

Gorsuch is a bit different in that he seems very much inclined to stick it to the government, for example in the Oklahoma reservation case.

It's funny because people on here seem to complain both "stupid Gorsuch" and "bad Barrett." Those are actually opposite positions.

The fact is that neither Barrett nor Lagoa (who has nearly no track record to verify) will give you what you want 100% of the time.

But either will be light years better than Ginsburg. Or Roberts.

11
IAmTheSenate 11 points ago +11 / -0

But either will be light years better than Ginsburg. Or Roberts.

Or the 25 year old transgender "female" abortion doctor from Berkeley that Biden Harris would appoint

2
Libertysheimdall1 2 points ago +2 / -0

LOL. At this point I expect a double-transgender that identifies as a Martian.

2
RenaissanceOfHope 2 points ago +2 / -0

That’s why we need 9 clones of Neil Gorsuch on the court!

2
Hardcouer 2 points ago +2 / -0

You'd use the cloning machine on Gorsuch rather than Thomas or Alito???????

1
RenaissanceOfHope 1 point ago +1 / -0

I would consider using it on Scalia.

Gorsuch is less likely to blindly rule in favor of cops/government than Thomas or Alito. This fake pandemic has shown me how precious our freedom is. I hate BLM/Antifa like nobody’s business, but we are going to need someone against police overreach with these mask mandates.

1
Hardcouer 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yes, but he's also more likely to rule that that men can be women and the government has a duty to make businesses comply with that 'fact'. So much for freedom.

While we're at it, pedophiles can rape children because half of Oklahoma needs to be returned to Indians.

Let's worry about police overreach when the giant police underreach is showing signs of coming to an end, rather than when they aren't allowed to use tear gas on rioters, or aren't getting prosecuted for shooting a guy who tried to tase them.

2
Cyer6 2 points ago +2 / -0

Agreed. I just hate that she upheld the Illinois lockdowns.

2
Libertysheimdall1 2 points ago +2 / -0

Just so you know, that decision is fake news. I’m a lawyer and I’ve read it. It does not hold IL lockdowns are OK. The Pennsylvania case that held them unconstitutional was based on a different argument—a line of argument not made at all in the IL case.

The narrow question in the IL case was whether the fact that religious activity was carved out for PREFERENTIAL treatment under the lockdown orders renders the rest of the orders unconstitutional. The complain was about UNEQUAL treatment of religion and other speech.

As the court pointed out, even if it held the inequality mattered, that might just as easily be remedied by imposing STRICTER limits on religion, as it would by changing to looser rules for everything else. The judges didn’t like that idea.

But more importantly the court simply held that religion DOES enjoy special status under the Constitution, and therefore there is nothing wrong about treating it better than general “speech.”

Direct quote: “ A careful look at the Supreme Court’s Religion Clause cases, coupled with the fact that EO43 is designed to give greater leeway to the exercise of religion, convinces us that the speech that accompanies religious exercise has a privileged position under the First Amendment, and that EO43 permissibly accommodates religious activities.”

1
Cyer6 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well then. I think I'll just leave it up to Trump and believe that he'll make the right call because I really have no idea on these matters. It sounds like they quickly got the Senate in line to support whoever the nominee is and that person stands a good chance of getting through the process.

9
Italians_Invented_2A 9 points ago +12 / -3

Barrett is most likely deep state. She probably entered some shady deal to get two children from Haiti (the same country where Hillary foundation operated).

This video from InfoWars really convinced me that she would be the wrong choice. She'll be the next Roberts....or worse!

2
Cyer6 2 points ago +2 / -0

They did an extensive piece on her and Lagoa yesterday. They also said she would sail through the process unlike Barrett who could be knocked down on multiple fronts. Lagoa also has some solid support from based R congressmen.

Everyone's talking shit about Barrett in favor of Lagoa, but Lagoa is a milquetoast social Libertarian. She's the kind of judge that would, like all other Trump picks so far, vote in favor of Atheism, homosexuals, abortion, illegal immigrants, and minorities. Half of Oklahoma is going to be transferred to Native authority because of a SC decision that all Trump's picks were in favor of. If you love God, don't want your children to be indoctrinated into faggotry, hate abortion, hate immigration, and don't want your kids to hate their race, Barrett is your #1 pick.

The big question is, will they be able to stop forcing taxpayers to pay for it....

4
flashersenpai 4 points ago +4 / -0

I thought Trump already reduced/eliminated funding for PP this term? Unless you mean on a state by state basis?

4
Italians_Invented_2A 4 points ago +4 / -0

It's complicated. Trump definitely stopped funding for the branch of PP that does abortion, however I think PP still receives funding for different services.

5
Pede3 5 points ago +5 / -0

PP offers STD screening (men and women), cervical cancer screening, womens health exams (abnormal bleeding, etc), and other non abortion services. It's cheaper to have them provide these services rather than poor people going to the emergency room for something like STD treatment.

7
Italians_Invented_2A 7 points ago +7 / -0

Yes, but the concern is that they overcharge the government for these services and then use the money for abortion.

Or for their large donations to the Democrats.

An organization that donates to a political party should not receive any taxpayer money.

0
Dergy 0 points ago +1 / -1

Anything Trump does is only temporary. Executive orders can be changed when the next POTUS comes in. To make them permanent, we have to go through Congress and SCOTUS.

7

Maybe, maybe not. But hard evidence seems not to be part of the argument.

The problem is who has Trump's ear? Does he have time to read over all their case decisions when he has a billion other things to worry about? Or is it the case that he gets a summary from someone he trusts (who may not be trustworthy)? Trump has unfortunately surrounded himself with a group of people who hate him, and while most of them have been weeded out (Bolton), how many snakes are left in the grass?

I hear meadows and the old school. Gop likes acb but desantis likes lagoa. Should be interesting.

That may indeed be true. I’m only saying that until someone proves why I should trust Barnes more, I can’t take his word for it.

I can't link you to a single article or discussion to try to sway you. But he does do a podcast with a Canadian lawyer/youtuber who is pretty based called Viva Frei. He has represented some of the Covington kids (not Nick) in court, and he is very on the side of our civil liberties. He was a democrat (don't know how he plans to vote this year) but has been pretty pro-trump and seems to side against the authoritarian left on every issue.

He has two big videos on why ACB is a swamp choice and Lagoa is the better choice for the American people, one here:

Do you think Trump has personally reviewed her cases like Barnes has? Do you think if Trump did review them, he'd be able to understand them as well as a lawyer?

He gets his list from the federalist society and goes from there. Trump isn't a legal expert. He gets advice for the pick and Barnes is a hell of a lot better than any RINOs or swampers giving him advice.

1
Libertysheimdall1 1 point ago +2 / -1

Why? What proof is there that Barnes’ opinion means anything? Because he took a payday to sue on behalf of Sandmann?

2
Spez_BTFO 2 points ago +3 / -1

Because she has stated she sides with the Pope above anything else. No one is above the constitution, especially the Pope. Anyone who's vowed to put his opinion above the constitution shouldn't be a supreme court justice.

RenaissanceOfHope 2 points ago +3 / -1

Exactly. There’s a difference between having a Catholic on SCOTUS and a Catholic like Barrett who puts the Catholic Church above America.

plus the current pope is a fucking cucked sjw

Be careful using liberal tears to season your meats because they'll be extra concentrated tomorrow.

Having a supreme grillout here tomorrow also! Cooking all the meats! Y'all gonna wish you were here!!! 🍖 😛

For the God fearing out there, keep praying president Trump picks a good one.

Can’t come to the BBQ. Taking the 3 hour drive to the Middletown PA “protest” tomorrow. GEOTUS on a Saturday night after announcing his Supreme Court pick. The house will be rocking.

NICE, ENJOY PEDE! I think I'm going to enjoy a nice cigar, and some bourbon tomorrow, with a Sunday Gun Day to follow; because we're about to get ourselves a nice Pro 2A justice!

My hope is nationwide shall-issue concealed carry. I take a yuge risk carrying in Maryland.

BBQ for America

nds19 3 points ago +3 / -0

I don't think ACB or Lagoa would be good now. ACB defended BLM in Illinois and Lagoa would likely be soft on illegal immigration (also originally appointed by Jeb Bush). They are both members (or used to be) of the Federalist Society. Why is that concerning? Gorsuch was endorsed by them.

AmericaFirstMAGA88 3 points ago +3 / -0

Literally just went and bought burgers and dogs to grill for tomorrow. Imma tailgate the announcement

Fellow grill master here - if the weather’s good I’ll be throwing some wings on the Weber and listening to the reeeeeees as the new SC Justice is announced. And good for you for hosting a non-COVID-1984 BBQ. It’s your property and the Karens can’t do shit. Have a great weekend!!

COVID-1984... so funny yet true/sad at the same time.

it will be a woman, not excited about that part

12
Pede3 12 points ago +13 / -1

It was always going to be a woman. We can't afford another Christine Blasey Ford debacle with so little time before election. Trump will have more slots for men in his next term.

4
flashersenpai 4 points ago +7 / -3

you and a few of us will be like the one guy at the rally who raised his hand

oh well tougher battles to fight than this one

I mean, in the current political climate, can you really blame him?

I think we all agree its bullshit that it's happening, but the irony of shoving that bullshit right back in the left's face so that they can't say shit about it is pretty sweet.

Most importantly though, this is a longer battle than we see right now. Trump picking a non-white woman right now at the height of this pc bullshit (who is in line with what we believe in) in order to secure a future where we don't need to pander? Not a terrible idea. Remember, there are still a ton of brainwashed moderates who might see this and say "holy shit Trump picked a POC woman omg maybe he isn't a racist sexist" and that's only a good thing. Time will tell if this bites us in the ass but I think making a move like this right now just to ensure we get someone on our side on the bench and maybe pick up some voters in the process is worth it, because of the prospects of what it could spell out for a future where we don't have to do that.

The goal right now is to destroy the democrat party for what it is right now. If this helps make that happen, I can't be too mad about it. Hopefully it's a one time thing and not a slippery slope that puts us right where they are, and I acknowledge that could happen, but I think this is bigger than just "omg she got picked cause she doesn't have a penis"

2
UpTrump 2 points ago +4 / -2

I agree, Pede. Selecting acb would honestly be the greatest disappointment of the 4 year term

2
IPDaily 2 points ago +2 / -0

Don't forget the salt.

2
JOLLYROGERS 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm going fishing! Need me some bonito for this.

2

On debate night, I’ll be too focused to grill. Will probably have it catered.

Oh shit, I have to make a beer run! What time does this thing kick off?

On an unrelated note, I'd love it if we had some kind of big national jamboree/campout/cookout at the end of GEOTUS's presidency in four years where we can all share beers and stories and reminisce about what a historical and amazing time we have lived through. The last four years has been an honor!

I just don't know how we do it without getting a bunch of Antifa/BLM faggots crashing the party.
