They say that yes the animal won't die from the wounds but it will never be able to be ridden again and it will never have a good quality of life. It seems this forced march on pavement without shoes completely destroyed his hooves and legs.
That's awful. He shouldn't be rode again. If they can help em I hope they will and let him spend his days in a animal refuge. Not sure how many are in their area but there are places that will care for em if he makes it.
It really depends on how screwed up that horse is afterwards.
It's entirely possible that the dumbass inflicted such critical damage that the horse walking about a field would have it writhing in agony after the wounds were healed.
Which if that's true, it's all the more reason to drag this dumbass down the interstate as punishment.
I saw a bullshit article that quoted city employees, NOT any Veterinarian. I saw a picture of a horse down in a stall without being able to see their front hooves, coronet bands, or pasterns, one that is NOT on IV fluids. Stashing that animal out of public view to keep the city from accountability is not medical treatment.
I mean, you could definitely be right. All we know is what is reported for now. And it would be the asshat that rode him like that who would be in trouble right? Not the city. I mean technically Chicago didn't ride that horse 7 miles shoeless on asphalt, that retard did.
But for sure, in today's clown world they could be hiding it. Or maybe the report is right. Guess we wait and see. The Injuries definitely seem severe to say the least. But it wouldn't be the first or last time an animal has recovered from abuse and went on to live.
Oh, I'm sure he will be sore for awhile but with some treatment and rest it should be fine. I hope at least. This is fucked up.
If you haven't I suggest you read the piece

I just saw where they said the horse has "drastically Improved and is resting on a private farm". So I think she/he will make it!
I don't think so.
Saw yesterday that the horse has drastically Improved and is resting on a private farm now. He won't be rode again but he will walk and be fine.
Edit: they also put it on iv for the dehydration and it seems to be taking it well.
