I rode for 10 years and my horse never ever got a sore.. because I didn't ride it to that point and if I did I wouldn't keep riding it, TF.

Also running your horse is for short distances not for 7 miles straight

No, saddle sores are not common. I have never seen one in real life, only pictures in medical articles or abuse.
