Evangelicals are not catholic. Don’t conflate the two as they couldn’t be further from each other. If anything you can attribute Trump’s success to Evangelical principles. Which, again, are not at all in line with Catholicism.
It's not about denomination it's about leadership within religious circles and communities that have taken money to promote an agenda. If you deny that then I cannot help you. All denominations have bad apples.
