Sad thing is, he almost did win. FL is basically like Texas right now except a lot closer. It’s getting flooded on it’s coasts by libs from the NE and California.
Possibly the rust belt. We did it in 2016 and I don’t see a reason we would be losing votes there. However I’m not from there so I don’t really know much about it. I do live in FL though and have a lot of history and ties that are still relevant to TX.
I saw my first Trump signs last month in FL outside the extremely rural areas that I keep hearing about. There where a ton of them along a 20 mile main road my buddy lives on and he had one in his yard (he’s not political at all). I talked to him about it and he said some random people showed up, gave his wife $25 (public’s gift card) and then asked to put the sign up. They didn’t say he had to leave it up and over the last month nearly all of them have disappeared. It’s made me do a lot of thinking.
I do not think that actual Trump campaigners would pay people to put Trump signs. We had a volunteer come around here with signs asking if they could put in the yard to which we said yes. He said if it got stolen they'd bring another. But to pay people? That's a lefty tactic.
If Gillum had been "elected", that title would obviously mean something more literal in meaning.

Is there a state in the nation gaining more conservative votes/flipping red from blue?
